En primer lugar, sabemos que las principales OTA ofrecen tarifas inferiores a las de los hoteles directos sobre todo en periodos de mucho tr\u00e1fico, como los par\u00e1metros de b\u00fasqueda por defecto y las ventanas de reserva m\u00e1s populares. Las estancias en el mismo d\u00eda y de una noche resultan especialmente lucrativas. En segundo lugar, existe una correlaci\u00f3n entre la subida de precios de los hoteles y el aumento de los casos en que las OTA ofrecen tarifas inferiores a las directas. La competencia es feroz en todo el espectro de las OTA, que ofrecen precios inferiores a los de los hoteles en el 79% de los casos. El hecho de que el precio sea el factor decisivo m\u00e1s importante para los viajeros a la hora de decidir qu\u00e9 canal utilizar para reservar incentiva a las OTA a garantizar las reservas mediante tarifas competitivas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta din\u00e1mica cambia cuando nos centramos en el duopolio establecido de Booking y Expedia. Estos grandes actores son menos propensos a rebajar las tarifas hoteleras, con una incidencia que desciende hasta el 49%, un factor en el que puede influir la fortaleza de sus marcas y sus potentes programas de fidelizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al examinar las 15 principales OTA por volumen de impactos, surge una clara disparidad. Las OTA establecidas presentan una tasa de \u00abLose\u00bb, en la que rebajan los precios de los hoteles, que oscila entre el 24% y el 33%, y una tasa de \u00abcumplimiento\u00bb entre el 26% y el 30%.\u00a0 Como ya se ha dicho, el poder de su marca y sus s\u00f3lidos programas de fidelizaci\u00f3n ofrecen a los viajeros un valor adicional al precio. Por el contrario, el gr\u00e1fico de la derecha muestra una clara tendencia en los mercados de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, donde las tarifas Beat superan significativamente a las tarifas Meet y Lose. Esto muestra que Europa es un panorama m\u00e1s competitivo para los hoteles. Esta mayor tasa de \u00abLose\u00bb es m\u00e1s frecuente en los dem\u00e1s mercados (no estadounidenses ni de la UE). Todos estos factores subrayan la importancia de la anticipaci\u00f3n de las reservas en la din\u00e1mica de precios del sector tur\u00edstico.
